Site Analysis

A site analysis is a document which highlights most, if not all, of the factors that may impact on your design. If you are able to provide a current site plan, you will receive a copy of this plan with important elements marked on the plan. The scope of this information may depend on certain information you are able to provide and the relevance of this information is then discussed in the site analysis.

This information may include:

  • Design scope and boundaries

  • Current state of the site

  • Existing vegetation

  • Local climate based on historical data

  • Factors affecting the micro-climate on the site

  • Prevailing wind

  • Existing/ anticipated circulation patterns / desired lines of movement on the site

  • Noise and glare

  • Views and privacy

  • Access and location of services

  • Flood and bushfire risk

  • Soil condition - including acidity and texture

  • Aspect & positioning of land
